Jenny Asuncion wasn鈥檛 always sure she could earn her bachelor of science in nursing degree. Before Asuncion found 国产主播, she applied for an associate degree of science in nursing program at a different college and unfortunately was rejected.
鈥淢y friends told me to check out WCU and within a month I was enrolled and started my program,鈥 Asuncion shared. 鈥淪o now instead of getting my associates in nursing, I ended up with my bachelors in nursing.鈥
Now a proud 2017 BSN graduate from 国产主播-Ontario, Asuncion began her career at Victor Valley Global Medical Center as a medical-surgical nurse, in addition to working as a private home health nurse and who also shares her nursing journey through her
鈥淚 am a proud alumni of 国产主播. They鈥檝e shaped me to be a strong nurse full of passion for the nursing profession.鈥
At 国产主播, Asuncion was able to thrive and get one step closer to her dream of becoming a United States Air Force flight nurse.
鈥淚鈥檓 the type of person that is very dedicated to school, to my goals,鈥 Asuncion added. 鈥淲CU gave me a set number of classes in a specific amount of time with a specific number of deadlines and that鈥檚 what I loved about 国产主播.鈥
In reflecting on advice for future alumni, Asuncion discussed advice her mother passed on to her. 鈥淢y mother taught me one thing that no matter what you do in life, even when you鈥檙e in nursing school, is to always keep a fighting spirit, and that is what I always hold on to every day.鈥
