More than 100 students and alumni attended the ¹ś²śÖ÷²„-Los Angeles Spring career fair in April. Employers like Henry Mayo, Childrenās Hospital Los Angeles, Mission City Network and Cedars Sinai attended the event to speak to students and alumni about internship and career opportunities.
The employers had plenty to offer with swag bags, job insights and helpful advice from a recruiter’s perspective. Andree Mulia, aĀ senior talent advisor for Childrenās HospitalĀ LosĀ AngelesĀ and a registered nurse,Ā came to WCU-LosĀ AngelesĀ with the goal to recruit new grads for CHLA’s RN residency program.Ā MuliaĀ also came prepared with tips for the new grads looking to makeĀ CHLAĀ their home.
āFor their first interview they should be engaged, have eye-to-eye contact and really share who they are,ā Mulia said. For those who are nervous for their first interview, she said donāt forget to practice.
The best way to practice, of course, is to visit Career Services and get a headstart on resume prep and mock interviews.
