Welcome to our new ¹ś²śÖ÷²„ Dallas Leadership team members, Executive Director Duemand Edwards and Associate Executive Director Shelby Frutchey.

As Executive Director, Edwards will oversee all campus operations and focus on growing the campusā€™ student body. As WCU-Dallasā€™ Associate Executive Director, Frutchey will focus on launching our evening and weekend program, nursing and clinical relationships.

Edwards has led operations for several colleges including serving as Campus President for WestMed College and Bryman College. He most recently served as executive director for Education Corporation of America.

Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate of business administration from Grand Canyon, after earning his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor of arts in communication from Warner University.

ā€œEducation is a game-changer. Iā€™ve seen how it impacted my life, how itā€™s impacted the lives of others,ā€ Edwards shared about his passion for helping others through education. ā€œItā€™s important for us to keep the student in front of us at all times and no matter how challenging it may be at times, itā€™s worth it because itā€™s for the student and their positive outcome.ā€

Frutchey has a strong nursing background, starting her career as critical care nurse before leading campuses such as South University in Austin, Texas and University of Phoenix. She is currently completing coursework for her EdD in Organizational Leadership at Argosy University and holds a master of science in nursing from University of Florida, as well as a bachelor of science in nursing from St. Anselm College.

ā€œBeing a nurse, you’re always educating your patients, you’re always teaching them about things so it seemed like just a natural transition throughout my career,ā€ shared Frutchey when asked about her career in education.
